Clare Valley Shiraz
Wine
O'Leary Walker Wines Clare Valley Shiraz blends fruit from two vineyards: one in the cooler Polish Hill River locale and the other in the warmer Armagh, north of Clare.
Fermentation takes place with natural yeast, hand plunging and a component of whole bunch fruit to promote varietal character. Post ferment, the wine remains on skins for a further two weeks.
The wine is pressed to tank, then racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels to age for two years.
Crimson purple, O'Leary Walker Wines Clare Valley Shiraz has rich dark fruit flavours, savoury spice and tight grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
